OK, now I know that I have been on the road for 11 days and have not posted any blogs since I left, but my laptop has no battery, which makes blogging in the van and on the road virtually impossible (no pun intended).
So here it is, my very first blog! Where do I begin? Since November 2008, I have been acting full-time and have been quite successful at it. In May 2009, I attended a callback for a national tour of a children's musical called Strega Nona, based on the books by Tomie DePaola, and thought that there was no possible way that I would ever get cast. Little did I realize that I would be cast as the title character in a national tour that will visit 50 cities/22 states. My life has been one crazy roller coaster ride since May!
After a grueling 6 week rehearsal process and a little over a month of Bay Area previews in two theatres and assorted schools, we finally hit the road on October 19th. So far, it has been a fun and exhausting adventure.
Please continue to check back - I promise that there will be more posts about the cast, the show, our adventures at each venue/city and photos! I am going to do my best to post bits when I get a chance and have access to an outlet. Hopefully, when I go home for my first break in a few days, my new laptop battery will have arrived.
